Pamela Parker, Owner has been operating Acqua Bistro
restaurant since 2002. Both Pam and Executive Chef, Jon Kari have had a wealth
of experience in hospitality and restaurant businesses.
With goals of increasing the quality and sophistication of the menu, consistency
of quality and service and expansion in mind, many improvements have been made, all to the
delight of their customers.
Chef Jon Kari has added an international flair to the Acqua Bistro by bringing a broad culinary repertoire, which includes American, French, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and regional New Zealand cuisine. He is passionate about food. Jon melds together the best local and seasonal ingredients, obtained through strong relationships with purveyors and farmers, with cooking techniques from the range of international cuisines he has studied while working from line cook to Executive Chef around the Great Lakes region.
Chef Jon enjoys culinary challenges and has had continued success at producing food for people of many tastes and dietary requirements, most recently while he was Executive Chef at the luxury resort Furneaux Lodge in the Marlborough Sounds of New Zealand.
